Deer's Roar

This is a natural phenomenon that takes place in autumn, when red deer enter the rutting season. During this period, males produce a deep, guttural call known as the roar. They also rub their antlers against shrubs and chase females or rival males, which can sometimes lead to fights. This is a particularly sensitive time for deer. For this reason, the Reserve and the Natural Park provide a free service so that everyone can enjoy a high-quality experience while respecting the animals and their environment. In the Berguedà, there are two designated observation points where specialists will enhance your visit with expert explanations and provide binoculars and spotting scopes. This allows visitors to fully enjoy one of the most spectacular natural events in the biodiversity of the Cadí.
