04 - La Destralera

The starting point of this route is La Pobla de Lillet. A village that is worth a visit, either before or after the ride. The construction of the town began in the 13th century with the castle, the steps, the walls and the emblematic Pont Vell, built in the 14th century, a symbol of the town that reminds us of a splendid past.

"La Destralera", like the "La Catllaràs" route, runs through the Catllaràs Area of ​​Natural Interest, a massif unknown even to many Berguedans. Wild and surprising, with an enchanting history and exuberant nature. Travel along paths, which will occasionally surprise us with an unexpected turn, a wet root or some misplaced rocks.

In "La Destralera", the pedaling will stop due to the beauty of different points that we find along the route: the monastery of Santa Maria de Lillet, the Roc de la Luna viewpoint, the Sanctuary of Falgars, etc. Without forgetting the Chalet of Catllaràs. Historically, the great master Antoni Gaudí left his mark on Catllaràs with the construction of this chalet through his disciple Eusebi Güell. It is worth stopping to see this work of art in a unique corner of the world.
